Temperature: Floating Weekly Average at Grider Creek 1997-2002 |

    |
Caption:  This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperatures at lower Grider Creek (site 57) for the years 1997-2002. Maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C in 5 of 6 years, which means it is over the suitable range for coho salmon rearing (Welsh et al., 2001). However, juvenile steelhead and Chinook salmon would likely find these temperatures suitable. Temperature data come from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Klamath River and its tributaries by the Klamath National Forest and the Karuk Tribe.
