Flow: Shasta River Number of Days <40 cfs 1934-1990 |

    |
Caption:  U.S. Geologic Survey flow data were used to chart the number of days in each water year in which flows in the Shasta River dropped below 40 cubic feet per second (CFS). The stream flow level of 40 cfs is very low for a river the size of the Shasta. No trend toward decreasing stream flows over time is apparent. When stream flows drop water quality problems, such as high stream temperature and low dissolved oxygen, tend to be exacerbated.
