   Caption:  This chart displays monthly average discharge (cfs) of the Russian River near Cloverdale, CA (US Geological Survey gage station #11463000).  Data extends for water years 1952 through 2001.  High flows occur during winter months in response to storm events and high base flows.  Lower flows occur between June through October with average monthly stream flow less than 250 cfs.   Whiskers bracket one standard error from the mean.  Russian River stream flows near Cloverdale have been under the influence of the Potter Valley Project diversion since 1908 and Coyote Dam since 1958.  Monthly flows are compiled by the US Geological Survey.  See InfoLinks for more information.
